This class is designed to help you explore passions in Literature and read selections from short stories, poems and plays.
The class will be broken up into those three parts. We will start with short stories, then move onto poems, and finally read
and act out plays.
Events and Announcements Updated 9/29/08
Remember that Friday October 10, 2008, we will be meeting at the Thrasher Horne to take a tour of the theater. Since
we will be reading a handful of plays, and may even act some out, I would like us to have a visual tour of the theater.

In the News

In the news this week, I read an article of an old man hunting people that came onto his property for trespassing.
We read this week the short story "The Most Dangerous Game," how does the article in the newspaper relate to the stories?
In what ways is the old man similar to the General in "The Most Dangerous Game?"
This is a Participation Grade. Please be sure to answer and submit it to me the day of the test on this Short story.

Meet the Challenge!

Plays are often very long and with how short the semester's are, we only get to read one play. We read Hamlet, however,
for extra credit go the distance and pick another play to read on your own and write about it.
Each week write me a review of what you've been reading, your opinions and any questions or concerns so far.
